The whole sporting world knows Boston Celtics Coach Doc Rivers is pleased with his players' performance during the just-ended championship NBA season. He also holds many of his better players in high regard when it comes to fashion, based on his comments in a promotional video for Boston custom clothing company ECC Life & Style.

Doc Rivers' Gatorade-stained shirt nets $55,000

Celtics coach Doc Rivers donated his final game dress shirt to a charity auction and was bid up to $55,000 on it. The custom-made white ECC Life & Style cotton shirt with mother of pearl buttons was badly stained with pink Gatorade and also signed by Rivers and Celtics star Paul Pierce.

Word is, new World Champion Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers studies fabric swatches as closely as he watches Lakers' game film. "Doc's a pretty classic guy with his shirts in blues and whites," said clothes horse Shawn Harris, CEO of ECC Life & Style, where Rivers shops. "But with his suits, he's open to stepping it up."
